Who Reads Newspapers?  Cougars Enjoy Easy Online Access!

""

We all know that printed newspaper readership has declined.  Would it surprise you to learn, though,  that one of the most popular LibGuides used by the WSU community is the Newspapers and News LibGuide?  Last year WSU students and staff accessed this popular guide over fourteen thousands times!

Why is this resource so popular?  We think it’s because Cougars want to access a variety of news sources – both contemporary and historical.  For example, did you know that you can access….

  • Full text articles from the New York Times published as far back as 1851, as well as those published today?
  • Local and regional sources such as the Wenatchee Business JournalIdaho Business ReviewSpokesman ReviewMoscow-Pullman Daily News, as well as the digital WSU Evergreen.
  • International news sources such as the London Times (from 1785 to current), ITAR-TASSKorea HeraldSydney Morning HeraldJerusalem PostAfrica News, and much more.

These are just a handful of the newspapers and news services linked to from the WSU Libraries’ Newspapers and News LibGuide.  Visit the guide and discover more about both historical, and up-to-date news sources from all over the world!
