Corey Johnson

Corey Johnson received a B.S. in Secondary Education from Montana State University in 1994. He taught high school social studies for five years before entering library school at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He received an M.S.L.S. in the spring of 2002.

Corey works in the Research Services Unit of the Libraries with the title Instruction and Assessment Librarian. His current set of responsibilities and projects include:

• Teaching classes and facilitating other instructional liaison activities with campus programs including: Roots of Contemporary Issues, Honors College, and English Composition.
• Designing and implementing assessment projects related to evaluating undergraduate students' information literacy skills.
• Helping with the design and maintenance of the Instruction Team's online tutorials and website.
• Coordinating K-12 education and outreach.
• Working at the Holland and Terrell Libraries Reference Desk and providing virtual reference.
• Representing the Libraries on the UCORE Committee and the All University Writing Committee.
• Conducting research for publication and presentation, and participating in academic conferences.
